To anyone who has experience or has worked at Apple can you give me the positions of a retail store by rank? like genius, specialist, store manager being #1 obviously, etc. Also which position requires additional training such as going to Cupertino.

I think there is definitely a market that would buy these things, I mean some people do pay $15,000 for a TV right, and I think there are plenty of labs and such that use Apple's and could use a 30" screen. And as far as the current economy goes, this is rumored to be a year or more away so that isnt really an issue either, they also stated that it would have the same resoulion as the 23" one now. The digital lifestyle device is a tough one though, there are so many rumors about PDA's and phones that's it's almost impossible to say.
Personally if it was one of those two I think it would be the phone, Jobs has stated before that PDA's may be ancient and pointless now and "one day you won't even think about using a (cell?) phone without a computer...)

If you really want to see something wild, put some mosquito larvae in with it. Dragonfly nymphs are predators, and they'll take small invertebrates like other insect larvae (especially mosquito "wigglers"), or even small vertebrates like tadpoles. You might have to move the wigglers in front of the nymph, but if the nymph attacks, you're in for a shocker.

If you want to make an app with html5 and then compile it down to a native iOS app you can use http://www.phonegap.com/ . I'm currently using it to develop an app and have a prototype using it on my iPad. Works pretty well so far.

I recently saw a pc with OSX running on it. And that's neat. I'm mainly a Windows user but I've remained respectful to Apple hardware but I can't stand OSX. It's stable and it's easy to use but I much rather prefer the unrestricted control a knowledgeable user can have over Windows. Thus leads me to my question;
Has anyone gotten or heard of anyone getting Windows to run on a Mac without an excruciatingly slow emulator? Is there any chance of this happening in the future?

Anyone aware of this story yet? Apparently some manager of a Chipotle branch ran over a cat, and then posted jokingly about it on Facebook. She also posted on Facebook about the stupidity of the customers at Chipotle.
Anyway, someone finds this online, and posts it to Chipotle's FB page. Within 24 hours, the entire situation explodes. Chipotle stumbles over itself posting numerous status updates, only bringing more attention to an issue that wouldn't have really been a big deal had they not said anything.
Needless to say, the entire thing is hilarious. There's even a fan page for the entire incident, with screenshots of the manager's original posts.
What's great is that there's now a fan page for this hilarious incident, and it's exploding!

I'd have to go with Bungie before they died. It's somewhat odd to think about, but I really don't use many non-game applications that weren't made by Apple (Finder, TextEdit, Appleworks, Mail, Safari, iTunes, iCal, Calculator, XCode, and Terminal get me through most days).If I had to choose a serious application, it'd be Fire and whoever makes that.

I'm sure you are running some AfterDark screen savers as well.
Does anyone remember the "Barney Blaster" screen module?
I was NOT allowed to play that in front of my young nieces/nephews back then.

I also have a set of JBL Creatures, but I wouldn't say the sound quality is really good. They are very good for the price, and I do love them to bits but they don't cope very well at high volume (like, Maximum).
They are fine for a bedroom, but I don't think they have enough 'in hand' to be loud in a large room. I am fussy, but I get some distortion when listening to them very loud. Great for gaming and mp3, but not for listening to classical music or hard-house up high.
They look superb, though :)
i would disagree but i feel the quality is very good for what you are paying for. i have never managed to get them to full volume as it was so loud i couldnt stand it! i do not think there is any distortion at pretty loud listening when listening to heavy rock, metal, dance and cheese! i think a lot of it comes down to the quality of what you are playing (all my mp3's are 192kbps aac) and also the set up of the equilizer on itunes. if you get it correct it sounds amazing, even on my pb speakers!

Prior to this G5 I'd primarily used laptops for years. Particularly like the ALPowerbook keyboard for feel. Can't stand the normal Apple keyboards, or any normal ones really. Got the icekey maybe 1 month ago. I absolutely love it. And you don't have that issue...the only one...with the Powerbook when you are typing in Word, and go to hit the right shift key, hit the up button, and delete the last line or two...hate that...have to undo quickly. Not a problem with the bigger Icekey keyboard.

I have been trying to download iTunes for mac, for a reinstall, since late yesterday. None of the links I have found work. Either they don't exist, or they are being redirected by Apple's site to the apple.com/startpage. Any way to let Apple know their links are not working and that iTunes is unavailable for download?

I'm just really learning about this type of technology, so I'm curious: what makes a SSD different when erased compared to a traditional disk-spinning HD? I had always heard that, with a traditional HD, even if you erased/reformatted the drive and threw it away that some savvy tech types could somehow either restore your drive or get file fragments to get information, etc? Maybe that's just paranoid urban myth, but that's what I had always heard. What, technologically speaking, makes a SSD different in terms of not retaining old data when erased? Just curious.
