Tony Harris Missing in Brazil
Tony Harris, a graduate of Garfield High School and a star player for Washington State University in the 1990s, vanished after going to Brazil on Oct. 31 to play pro basketball for a team in Brasilia. While U.S. and Brazilian officials began to hasten search efforts, Tony Harris' family has prepared for the worst.
Update: Tony Harris was found dead in the middle of a dense thicket in Brazil's central state Goias. Brazilian police believed Harris may have committed suicide but not rule out the possibility of homicide.

Eleanor Brennan, an American-based British woman, died Saturday after her horse stumbled when competing in the 2007 Horse Trials, an international horse event at the Florida Horse Park. It was reported Eleanor Brennan was riding an 11-year-old male named Mister Barnabus. The horse struck a gate during the event, tumbled onto his neck and landed on Brennan, The horse died instantly, and Brennan died a short time later at a hospital. Source: IHT Tags:

Dr. Jan Adams, a Harvard graduate, is the doctor for rapper Kayne West's mom Donda West, who died of complications resulting from complications after a recent cosmetic surgery at a mere age of 58. Dr. Jan insists he has done nothing wrong:
Plastic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams has told TMZ that he was the doctor who performed cosmetic surgery on Kanye West's mother Donda before she died.
Dr. Adams told TMZ her death, which followed a tummy tuck and breast reduction, was unforeseen and could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or massive vomiting.
Dr. Adams tells us West consulted with him over a period of four months. He says she changed her mind numerous times, sometimes greenlighting the surgery and sometimes halting it.
As for the TMZ report that Beverly Hills doctor Andre Aboolian refused to conduct the surgery because of a medical condition that West had, Dr. Adams said of Dr. Aboolian, "He is sleazy and manipulating the truth to elevate his own importance."

Sources tell TMZ Donda West's operation lasted eight hours -- twice as long as it should have. We're told Dr. Jan Adams began the operation Friday morning and finished Friday evening. He then sent Ms. West home, rather than to a recovery center, which we're told, would have been appropriate.
Several doctors at Centinela Hospital where West was taken, tell TMZ they believe the excessive amount of time it took to perform the procedure strongly suggests either something went wrong during the operation or the doctor was just too inexperienced.
We're told she was dead the next evening at her home before paramedics arrived.
Even though he was credited to a "top" celebrity plastic surgeon in Belerly Hills, TMZ revealed that Dr. Jan Adams is not Board Certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. What's more, as early as April in 2006, the Medical Board of California filed legal papers asking to revoke or suspend Dr. Jan Adams' medical license because he was convicted of multiple DUIs. The report from Perezhilton.com said Dr. Jan Adams has been sued TWICE for malpractice during August to September 2001 and both lost! Sigh, now the ineffectiveness on the issue has cost Dr. Donda West's life!

London Fire Engulfed 2012 Olympic Site
A huge fire broke out on the site of the London Olympics 2012 today sending a plume of black smoke into the air across central London.
London Fire Brigade said the fire was at a single storey warehouse on Waterden Road, in Stratford, East London A spokesman for Scotland Yard said they had no reports of explosions and the fire is not being treated as a terrorist incident.
The fire is less than half a mile from the new Stratford International terminal for the Eurostar and close to the line running into St Pancras International to be opened on Wednesday.

Finnish Jokela High School Shootings, Gunman Warned on Youtube
Horrific:
An 18-year-old gunman killed eight people at a high school in southern Finland on Wednesday Nov. 7, then shot himself but survived, police said.
They said the high school's principal was among the dead.
Police said the gunman, who used a .22-caliber pistol, was taken to hospital with serious wounds and the situation was ``under control'' after officers surrounded Jokela High School in Tuusula, some 30 miles north of the capital, Helsinki.
It was the first known school shooting in Finland, where gun ownership is fairly common by European standards, but shootings are rare.
Medical response leader Eero Hirvensalo told The Associated Press that one person had been ``severely injured'' while 10 people had minor injuries.
Finnish media reports said the shooter had revealed his plans on the video Web site YouTube.
A posting titled ``Jokela High School Massacre'' showed a picture of a building by a lake that appears to be the school, along with two photos of a young man holding a handgun. The person who posted the video was identified in the user profile as an 18-year-old man from Finland. The posting was later removed.
The profile contained a text calling for a ``revolution against the system.''
Kim Kiuru, a teacher at the school, said the principal had announced over the public address system just before noon that all students should remain in their classrooms.

Ryan Shay, a four-time national distance-running champion, died today shortly after the 5-mile mark of the U.S. Olympic Team marathon trials in Central Park in New York, according to USA Track & Field. He was 28.
Shay collapsed and was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation during the men's 26-mile (42 kilometer) trials before being transported to Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:46 a.m., the group said in a statement.

Duane Chapman, better know as “Dog” from the A&E hit reality show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” is facing widespread criticism for a racial tirade he launched while carrying on a phone conversation with his son Tucker Chapman, a recording of which was duly posted online by the National Enquirer.
Here are some snippets from the understandably controversial chat, in which Chapman—a Hawaii-based bail bondsman by trade—discusses with his son the repercussions of having a black person around while he and his team use the N-word (Tucker's girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, is black):
"I'm not taking a chance...not because she's black but because we use the word n---er sometimes here. 116 Years Old Orange
The century-old orange should have eaten by Joseph Roberts for his lunch on 19 February, 1891, then a miner working at the Racecourse colliery in Etruria of UK. But a tragic underground blast on the day caused 37-year-old Robberts, to be fatally injured and never have the chance to finish it. The following excerpts is the story behind this unusual fruit:
The fruit belonged to Joseph Roberts who was injured in an explosion at a Stoke-on-Trent colliery in 1891. [..]
Unfortunately, he was badly injured when underground blasting at the colliery went wrong.
He died in hospital leaving a wife and six children.
The lunchbox was one of his effects handed back to his family, who kept it.
Now his great-granddaughter Pam Bettaney has donated it to the Potteries museum in Staffordshire.

As an only child growing up in Caracas, Venezuela, Jacqui Saburido lived the good life. Beautiful and smart, she studied engineering with hopes of taking over her father's manufacturing business someday. In August 1999, she took a break from college and moved to Texas to study English.
After attending a party one night, Jacqui accepted a ride home from a young woman who lived near her dormitory. What she didn't know is that a young man named Reggie Stephey was driving under the influence of alcohol. On a four-lane road outside of Austin, Reggie's SUV crossed the center line and hit the car Jacqui was in—head-on. Two girls in Jacqui's car were killed instantly, and Jacqui's legs were pinned under the dashboard. She was helpless as flames engulfed her face and body. Sixty percent of her body was covered with third-degree burns.
Reggie Stephey was fined $20,000 and sentenced to seven years in prison for two counts of intoxication manslaughter.

After the accident Jacqueline has needed over 40 operations.

Not everyone who gets hit with a car dies. This picture was taken 4 years after the accident and the doctors are still working on Jacqueline, whose body was covered with 60% severe burnings.
