In "American Heiress," AnnaLynne McCord plays the promiscuous, wild-child Loren Wakefield, eldest daughter and most neglected child in the Wakefield household. Starving for love and attention from her father, Lionel Wakefield (John Aprea), Loren sleeps with her father's friends and quickly discovers that she may be too wild for her own family.For those who don't know who AnnaLynne McCord is, here is the biography:
McCord was born in a small suburb outside of Atlanta, GA into a conservative family with two sisters, which continues to be a prominent source of inspiration in her life and career. McCord knew from a young age that she wanted to be an actress, starring in plays at her community theatre at the age of nine. After graduating from high school with honors at 15, she moved to Miami to pursue her dream of acting. While working at the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, McCord began auditioning on the side and landed a role in the opening scene of the feature film, "Transporter 2."McCord eventually moved to New York City where she enrolled at Esther Williams Studios to study the Meisner Technique. She then moved to Los Angeles where she quickly landed the lead role in the remake of the classic horror film, "Day of the Dead." She has also appeared in guest roles on "Close to Home" and "The O.C."

The rumored munchkin suicide by hanging in Wizard of OZ is not true, from Snope
The
so-called "munchkin suicide" scene occurs at the very end of the Tin Woodsman sequence, as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Woodsman head down the road on their way to the Emerald City. This sequence begins with Dorothy and the Scarecrow trying to pick fruit from the talking apple trees, encompasses their discovery of the rusted tin man and their encounter with the Wicked Witch of the West (who tries to set the Scarecrow on fire), and ends with the trio heading off to Oz in search of the Wizard. To give the indoor set used in this sequence a more "outdoors" feel, several birds of various sizes were borrowed from theLos Angeles Zoo and allowed to roam the set. (A peacock, for example, can be seen wandering around just outside the Tin Woodsman's shack while Dorothy and the Scarecrow attempt to revive him with oil.) At the very end of this sequence, as the three main characters move down the road and away from the camera, one of the larger birds (often said to be an emu, but more probably a crane) standing at the back of the set moves around and spreads its wings. No munchkin, nohanging — just a big bird.

Albus Dumbledore Is A Gay, He Loves Gellert Grindelwald

JK Rowling has revealed this secret at Carnegie Hall in New York on Oct. 19:
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has exposed one of the main characters of her best-selling Harry Potter series, by revealing that wizard Albus Dumbledore, head of Hogwarts school, is gay.
Speaking at Carnegie Hall on Oct 19 in her first U.S. tour in seven years, the author confirmed what fans have long suspected -- that she "always thought Dumbledore was gay."
After a brief reading from the final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Rowling took questions from the audience. [T]hen a young fan asked if Dumbledore would find "true love", Rowling answered: "Dumbledore is gay".
Rowling said Dumbledore fell in love with the charming wizard Gellert Grindelwald but when Grindelwald turned out to be more interested in the dark arts than good, Dumbledore was "terribly let down" and went on to destroy his rival.
That love, she said, was Dumbledore's "great tragedy".

Rowling said she had read through a script for the movie adaptation of the sixth book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and corrected a passage in which Dumbledore was reminiscing about past loves by crossing it out and scrawling "Dumbledore is gay" over it.

British Actress Deborah Kerr, 86, Dies of Parkinson's Disease

Deborah Kerr, the British star of "The King and I" and "From Here to Eternity," has died. She was 86.
Kerr, who suffered from Parkinson's disease, died Tuesday in Suffolk in eastern England, her agent, Anne Hutton, said Thursday.
Deborah Kerr, is most famous for one of cinema's most famous kisses with Burt Lancaster in war time drama "From Here to Eternity".
Born Deborah Jane Kerr-Trimmer in Scotland in 1921, Kerr was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar six times and received an honorary Oscar in 1994.

"Gone Baby Gone" is Ben Affleck's directorial debut and is based on the novel from the acclaimed author of "Mystic River." It is an intense look inside an ongoing investigation about the mysterious disappearance of a little girl. Two young private detectives (Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan) are hired to take a closer look at the case and soon discover that nothing is what it seems. Ultimately, they will have to risk everything -- their relationship, their sanity, and even their lives -- to find a little girl-lost. The film also stars Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") and Academy Award Nominee Ed Harris ("Pollack").
Last month, because of the little girl (picture above) in the film who resembles UK's missing Madeleine McCan (picture below), the movie was canceled its release on 28 December and postponed indefinitely.
Angelina Jolie Is Fliming The Changeling
Back from New York to Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie has begun filming on the set of new drama The Changeling directed by 77-year-old screen legend Clint Eastwood. Wearing a cloche hat and fur coat, The Mr and Mrs Smith actress looks stunning!
Jolie is portraying a woman whose son is kidnapped in Los Angeles in the 1920s. Though the LAPD returns a boy (by Devon Gearhar) to her, it doesn't take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers. After objecting to the LAPD's claim, she is sent to an insane asylum. She later discovers her real son has been murdered and exposes a city-wide corruption scandal. The film has a scheduled release date of November 7th, 2008.
