Madonna has done countless photo shoots and starred in endless campaigns but this campaign for Dolce and Gabbana Spring 2010 maybe my favorite. Why? She looks real and natural, not overly done or buried under special effects. And she's never looked better. I love the authentic Sicilian feel of the photos and I swear if I didn't know better I would think these pics were taken in one of my relatives houses in Sicily rather than shot by Steven Klein in NYC. Dolce and Gabanna definitely accurately represented their Sicilian heritage for this campaign... And this "LaBella Puppetta" is loving it...xoxo

~One Of My Favorites Covers One Of My Favorites: La Lopez For Allure January 2010~

One of my all time favorite Glamour Whores/Divas, Jennifer Lopez, covers the January 2010 issue of my favorite beauty magazine...Allure. One of the reasons I admire her style so much is although she is the epitome of "Hollywood Glamour", she also took a little bit of the South Bronx to Hollywood with her...she is a prime example of "Where The Hood And High Fashion Meet".



Say what you want about her... But I admire that she has virtually built an EMPIRE , the woman is a walking corporation. And she accomplished it all while wearing couture from head to toe and perfectly applied lipgloss. She is a seasoned red carpet veteran and she rarely makes a fashion misstep. Go ahead... insert a joke about her infamous "fall"... you know you want to...but before you do, I'd like to see you jump off a backup dancers sweaty back and land perfectly in 5 inch Louboutins... Once you do that I'll let you make all the jokes you want... go ahead...take your time, I'll wait.


The cover and inner photos were shot by photographer Michael Thompson at Lux Studio in NYC. The ultra fabulous Oribe and Scott Barnes worked their usual magic on La Lopez's hair and makeup respectively. The issue hits newsstands December 22nd.



During the shoot 18 y/o fan Yamarie Mayol got to meet her idol through the Make A Wish Foundation. Jennifer gave her a tour of the studio and then they posed for pictures...

~Muse Plays It Safe...Gives Claudia and Abbey Lee The Cover~

Meaning: To avoid committing oneself; to leave a means of retreat open.

When I heard about Lindsay Lohan's spread for Muse Magazine I was surprised and a little impressed. Everyone knows that ANYTHING La Lohan does is critized and ridiculed mercilessly. The fact that Muse knows this and did it anyway was surprising and impressive. However, they seem to have decided to hedge their bets. The #20 issue is now going to be available in a choice of covers. Lilo and models Claudia Schiffer and Abbey Lee Kershaw each have their own cover. It was a smart move. If your not a fan of Mz.Lohan's buy one of the other covers and if your seriously not interested in her layout, then check out Mz.Schiffer's 14 page spread. See...there's something for everyone.

Lilo was photographed by Yu Tsai for a Kate Moss/Johnny Depp inspired photo spread in "MUSE" magazine. The spread has been predictably ridiculed, I however... actually... kind of like it. Yep. Guilty.
A video accompanying the photo spread will be released on Youtube tomorrow, same day the issue goes on sale.
