Thanks for the prompt reply and need clarification on few more things....
like when the new co is in the process of transfer of h1 or after the transfer of h1 the old co revoke I-140 then ...
1) Will I be able to get 3 yrs extension or that extension will be valid after H1 transfer ?
2) How it will effect the future GC process by new Co.?
need your suggestion on these too:
3) thinking worse scenario.. after H1 transfer to new co if lay off happens...then
how things will work out to stay on H1 status?
4) what I should discuss/need to clarify with new empl before making a move ?

Many senators particularly republicans did know that last Year CIR has no chance of getting thru the house, since it was election year they tested water and did a favourable thing mainly to gain latino's vote, However this year is different, Democrats controles house and senate, none of the republicans want to give credit of passing CIR to democrates, McCain backed off as he was running for President and siding on Iraq war is good enough for him to defend popularity contest.
This year entirly depends on Bush administration backdoor negotiation, if he was able to get 70 Republicans there is good chance Nancy Pelocy will table the bill for debate, otherwise we have no chance in hell

Since you have work authorization (EAD), you should apply for SSN. For job application you donot need SSN but once you get a job then your employer might ask yr SSN for background check and afterwards for pay check. Generally it takes 2 weeks to get SSN so it's better to apply in advance.
Refer to http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10002.html#how and check out Application For A Social Security Card (Form SS-5) under How do I get a number and card? You need to fill out this form.
This form has list of documents you need to get a SSN card. Generally you need to carry your Passport and EAD. They will return all the documents at same time. They won't keep the documents with them and they need all original documents. They donot accept Copies. Hope this helps.

Birth Certificate didnt have my name and my stupid lawyer had not submitted the employment letter. We then submitted my parents' affidavit, school records and employment letter.
Later on my case was transferred to National Benefits Center and now this interview.

It would be better if you can contact Senators and Congressman/woman for your area instead of Governor.
Just called the Governor's office and asked how to request an appointment. The lady said its easy - just send in a written request (mail or email or fax it) and someone from the office will contact you.
Not sure if its really that easy... I live in North Cal - but would go to Phoenix to meet her if need be.
Anyone? Any suggestions? Comments?

Hi all,
This forum is full of smart people. So I want to throw my situation out there to get some advice from all of you. I am into 7th year of my H1 with by labor with PD of Sep 2002. At the rate things are moving, I am running out of patience here.
Things took an interesting turn last week, when a mid sized Software co. is willing to outsource me some of their work. Given the size of the opportunity, I will need to go to India to setup a team of 5 to 6 ppl. The co. is pretty eager and willing to offer some of the finanical guarantees I have asked for.
So my question is, should I take this opportunity and say good bye to GC? Or I should be patient as there may be a need to be in US to grow my outsourcing biz, in case it jump starts well. What would you do if you were presented this opportunity and you had the enterpreurial spirits to pull it off.
I would be eager to see what people say here.

RFE and NOID come with a color sheet of paper with your details and some USCIS internal codes for your case. You can respond by yourself and put the sheet on top - this is for the mailroom to handle your case

I have used my EAD to join a perm position. I did not inform my employer about it, since he neither paid me while i was out of project,nor retained my health insurance.Although , iam not sure if he has cancelled by I140 or not.
Please let me know what documents are needed to invoke AC21.
I just know the job title on which my PERM was applied .
It was Software Engineer (Systems Software) with MS + 1 Year
And also i do have a copy of the approved I140.
Appreciate your help.

i am in similar situation for my wife too ... she entered in h4 but is working on EAD now. So, could someone plz let me know wat is her current immigration status ? cos, i don't see a status "EAD" on the dropdown when I try to eFile.
EAD is not a status like H-1 or H-4.
The status should be AOS , pending 485, etc.

I want to be more specific. I have a full time job. I'd like to setup a business LLC to get some contract works. For tax benefit, I can deduct some business cost with it.
On H1 you can setup business, invest in , take profits ,but you should not be on payroll ( in otherwords you cannot be an employee of your own company based on H1 status ).
Once you get your EAD ( IV's current indirect-primary objective ) , you can do work of your company and do those tax benifit tacktics .

He is active - he is a big guy now, sometime back, I approached him for his autograph, and he said he does not have time to sign autographs :D:D:D
Jokes apart - Mark is very much in IV. He is involved at the national level more than the State level - he does make sure he is in conference calls and if we have a meetup in his area, he will make it for sure.

I should those got the CARD PRODUCTION ORDER without name check are lucky and that are only few cases. Most of the cases are stuck with name check even though the PD is current and the RD rule applicable.

What is AC21 provision: is this a clause or any other application or ???? This is a clause.
