I believe the correct Kafka analogy should be "The Trial", not "The Metamorphosis".
The Trial is about a character, Josef K. who is arrested one day, out of the blue, for an unspecified crime. The novel is about K.'s futile attempts to figure out why on earth he is being prosecuted.

I was little worried about filing AC21 when I am just 4 months away from GC. Filing AC21 with my current situation would not bother my GC then I am very much happy to switch over...Thanks everyone.

Hello everyone,
Please shed some light on this
I am going to a different Application Support Center than the one in my notice.
I am trying to locate the Application Support Center (ASC) close to where I live. Is there any information about the location of all the ASCs through out the country in the USCIS site?
If no how should I find/locate the nearest ASC to where I live?
The address of the ASC in my notice is in a different place. I want to go to the one that is near to where I live.

It is not clear to me why there is inconsistency on whatever they reply for the processing of NSC-->CSC-->NSC cases. Sometime I hear NSC mentions that these transfer cases would be processed based on CSC processing date (which doen't make sense because CSC stopped processing of I-485 caes, so how CSC processing date would move and the transferred case is waiting in NSC not in CSC) and sometime I hear NSC mentions those cases would be processed based on NSC processing date. Which one is actually true ?
I am wondering so far have we seen any approval from NSC for NSC-->CSC-->NSC transferred cases whose processing date RD/ND falls in 2007 (after the 2006 processing date of CSC).

Actually I think that special treatment may be for all H1-b renewals. When we went for our stamping 3 years ago at Delhi, at the outside window they stamped our passport with "green" sticker or something like that and when we entered the hall at the FP window, they said you don't need to stand in line and we were taken directly to AO. We did not have children and it was my 2nd H1 renewal stamping and my wife's first H4 renewal stamping.

I got a letter from Zoe Lofgren's office, who is a Member of Congress representing California 16th District, in response to one of our web faxes on H-1B cap and GC backlogs. Below is the complete text from the letter -- it's heartening to know we are on their radar at least!

You will have to staple the old passport to the newer one and carry both of them at all times. The visas on the previous passport will not be transferred over to the new passport.

Are you saying client company will not pay for the expenses or it will not sponsor H1 visa? If the Client Company does not sponsor H1 visa, i do not think you an sponsor yourself.You can pay for your expenses if client company sponsors H1 visa.

The only way you can make use of the fast track option available for L-1A visas is through your L employer. There is no other way.
One other option is to get a H-1b through a different employer who is also willing to sponsor a GC.
A sleazy option is to find one of those green card shops who will sponsor your GC for future employment in exchange for a fee. You can continue with your current L employer and your GC will continue through Mr Sleaze. Obviously this is abusing the system, but you would be surprised to know how many are doing it.
Note that both these options are not fast track. You will have to go through the full process and wait time.

so filing I-130 altogether is a new process and filing I-130 will not change my PD for EB3.
