If you..
- want a smaller player
- need FM radio
- want a (poor) video camera
- have a tendency to drop things (since it is flash based it can take beatings better than the classic can)
- have a small enough collection or can easily pick what you want and don't want.
- You don't plan on expanding your collection much.
Go with the 5th Gen Nano
If you..
- want superior battery life
- want superior capacity
- hard drive fragility isn't a issue for you
- interested in holding video (16GB nano isn't going to do much for holding video)
- don't mind the larger form factor (some prefer it, fits much more comfortably in hand for me in comparison to the nano)

Yes it makes SOME games look better. Road Rash 64 and Vigilante 8 had an option for a higher resolution when the expansion pack was detected. It took out some of the jagginess (whatever the word is for that), but the detail was the same and it cut a noticeable amount of FPS.

STALKER is coming out next week in the UK. I'm hoping it's going to be a Fallout-esque FPS. It's set in an area called the Zone, near Chernobyl. It's a bit of a mish mash of Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky and the Chernobyl incident. CVG has plenty of interviews and reviews with the developers.

No game I've ever played could I call perfect. There have been some close calls such as

I decided to just install it on my SSD since I want to take advantage of the speed of it. This no longer seems as buggy as it did when I installed Lion a few weeks ago and got rid of it. I can now run the VNC app "iTeleport" without problem!
Thank you for taking the time to lay out these instructions, as it is invaluable to me as I install for future partitions down the road. Cheers.

...americans help me out here there is a store in NY that does electronics.....SNAP just came to me there its called JR Electronics !
Actually there are more than 4 stores in NYC--in manhattan proper, yes just those 4, but staten island has one, i don't think any other borough does yet tho
and beyond those and best buy, save your gas. J and R does not carry the iPad as of yet. accessories only.

Get either a Seagate or an Hitachi.
I could tell you bad stories about pretty much all the brands of hard drives that are around today. Seagate and Hitachi are the least trouble prone.
Hitachi is ex-IBM, so they have the worst historical reputation.

I would say that it is a toss up at this point whether the new Mini will get either the HD 2000 or HD 3000 graphics. I would hope for the better, but Apple has upgraded CPUs and opted for less powerful GPUs in the past.
I guess that it depends on the price point that they can get. At this point in time, it really is anyones guess outside of the citadel of Cuppertino. If I were in the market for a Mini this would be a hard choice as the current 320Ms are very good for their class of GPU.

Does around �400-�450 for a ~700mhz G3 with Airport sound about right? I'm not looking at a particular auction, but as a general guide.
That's too much for a G3. You might as well get an iBook G4 or even a refurb model from the Apple Store if you're prepared to pay that much. The US refurb store currently has 12" iBook G4 1.2 Ghz with CD-ROM for $699.

I solved the problem... apparently using the button to perform the action I needed, will indeed require me to click on it twice and then only perform the pan action. So I removed it and added an Image and added gesture recognizer to it.

On a fully updated install of 10.4.3 on my latest rev iBook, I have never seen myspace freeze. I was going to use firefox until I found out that when I visited myspace in firefox CPU usage spiked. For some reason it doesn't do that in safari, so until that changes, I'm staying with safari.
But the point of all this was, I have no problems at all on safari.
I do not have WMP installed, therefore I get that plugin not found message, I just hit cancel, never once has myspace frozen on me.
That's probably why it's not frozen on you. The lack of the WMP plug-in doesn't cause nearly as many problems for any browser as it might. Firefox, Shiira, Safari, Camino--they all do it--since it's one place for all plug-ins on Mac OS X.
If I go to the profile pages of almost any of the Filipinos, they have literally hundreds of videos, one in each comment and they all play at once. It's possible to turn the things off or to stop the behaviour through settings but apparently, anything goes and if they don't see it, it's not happening. :eek:

The mail function returns a success or denied variable. Both function calls were fine. I have had issues sending mail to gmail before. I can't remember what I did to fix it. I'm thinking it was something with the headers but it may have been with the server.
