Nice textures but I don't quite like the left side... I think those yellow lines would maybe make a nice diagonal, starting from the upper left and then splitting either side of the lower right corner.
EDIT: Hope you don't mind, had to make a quick test, a little like this, but I'd like more of the yellow line at the upper left...

I am definitely NOT counting on it..Its been while since I though about my long- lost application.
Just thought I would post a question in the hope that someone would say the PD would advance to 2007..Just to keep me going:)

Government officials as well as immigration lawyers have been implicated in several recent corruption cases. Here are some of the cases that have made news in the last few days: USDOJ announced a ICE official was sentenced in a kickback scheme involving a confidential informant in an alien smuggling investigation. A former official at the US Consulate in Toronto was sentenced to a year in prison for a scheme where visas were expedited in exchange for gifts and trips with exotic dancers. A Utah lawyer stands accused of massive fraud in securing H-2B visas for ineligible workers. A Beverly Hills...

Its really a shame that corruption is attached with immigration too. But its everywhere!

Hello,
As was discussed in the past on this forum, USC may have meant something for 20th century, but in 21st, USC does not offer any preferential advantage over other passports (unless you hold passport of problem childs like Iran, Sudan, Cuba etc).
At the end of day, its a personal choice, so let people be happy with whatever citizenship they choose... :)

Immigration Visa Attorney Blog Has Just Posted the Following:
The Barack Obama Administration recently announced that border guards at United States Ports of Entry (POE) will begin screening aliens arriving from certain countries based on specific information about threats to the USA. The immigration attorneys at Los Angeles' Fong & Chun immigration law firm are advocates for national security balanced against sensible protections for civil rights. We hope this change will reduce the number of unwarranted, unreasonable, and (usually) unfriendly challenges to certain arriving visitors.
Since the New York terrorist attack in September 2001, the USA has maintained a list of approximately fourteen countries (the so-called "group of fourteen") which are considered to encourage state-sponsored terrorism, or which are believed to provide assistance to terrorists. The US would not even officially name the specific countries, or confirm the exact number of countries, on the list. All citizens of one of these countries -- of any gender, any age, any social class, any educational level, for any reason -- would be subjected to additional interrogation by US Border Guards.
The newly-announced change sets up a system which uses intelligence information and threat assessment -- about specific persons, specific targets, and specific descriptions, to identify passengers who might have a link to terrorism. Quite properly, those persons would be subjected to additional scrutiny. Others who do not meet the more reasoned threat profiles would be allowed to enter the USA in the way of other visitors.
For example: most people in the know would say that the Islamic Republic of Iran was part of the group of fourteen. All citizens from Iran -- absolutely all -- would be pulled aside and interrogated at POEs. Under the new system, if the US has specific information about a 26-year old male Iranian student, or an Iranian woman with a certain name, or even someone with a partial passport number, then persons meeting those descriptions will be pulled aside. This allows border guards to focus their efforts on persons about whom the USA has specific threat-related information. --jcf

I dont think we are doing any wrong here. I think it helps people. People can search who are the H1B and GC sponsoring companies. You can search about lawyers who have filed H1B and Green Cards.

I heard that only applicants who are current are considered as backlogged - is this true?
Applicants who are not current - which statistical group do they belong to?
You are correct. Is USCIS definition to show less numbers on their graphs.

I believe it is a bad thing that the loan from Indian banks does not show up on US credit reports. Also people should disclose what all current loan payments they are making before they can take up a new loan. Otherwise it would be lying.

Off Lately in this forum and thru my freinds I am hearing premiums are also getting delayed..
Even in My case Fedex has reached uscis on Jan 17 , for me and my family but checks have not yet got cleared..
my lawyer says , nowadays the delay is because vermont cases are getting transferred to Calisfornia center for H1 Extension ..
Not sure what is the truth...Just waiting for Premium H1 extension to get cleared soon...

Thanks a lot for the info, bsnf.
The office is on the left of Chastain Ave. right? I just wanted to be prepared. My appointment is in three weeks.

You do need an H1 amendment. Had you applied for an LCA prior to starting your work in the new location, an amendend H1 would not have been required. But since you have already started working, you will need a new LCA and a new H1

Hi,
I am (L1 B) in US since April 2008 with my wife (L2). Our I-94 and VISA expired on Oct 08. Before expiration my company applied for the extension of L1 (I-129). The status changed to "Request for RFE" on Feb 09. Got the RFE with 11 questions yesterday. The questions asked were more about my specialty, my company and the clients contract, other fellow aliens from my company working for the client's status and profiles. So now not sure what my company will do with the RFE.
My questions are -
1. If my company withdraws the L1 Extension petition, then how many more days I will be able to stay in US legally.
2. My wife is currently 22+ weeks pregnant, will US Govt consider anything for her medical situation?
3. Whats the possibility that VSC will accept the extension if we send the answers to the RFE?
4. If the petition is denied, then how many more days I will be able to stay legally?
I would appreciate if anybody can answer my questions.
Thanks in advance.
Saurav
Please share the RFE.

Canada has been using this for skilled worker program, where individuals can apply for Canadian permanent residency independently if they fullfill the passmark. Other countries like Australia, UK and New Zealand also follow suit with different types of difficulties.
How about US? Would US adopt this?
G.
NOOOOOOOOO WAY
There are too many people who want to come here.

wow - you look really scared. I dont see anything wrong sending them an email. as long as you write correct passport number, VFS receipt number, you should be good. you not doing any crime by asking. they wont care if it is written in english or local language just because your mom can't speak english.
again - I see nothing wrong calling them/sending an email. after all it's your monthr's passport. as per rule they should get back to you in specified time.
The above is my personal opinion, make your own judgement.
