Three is a charm
Two is not the same
I don't see the harm
So are you game?

Lets' make a team
Make 'em say my name
Lovin' the extreme
Now are you game?

Are - you in
Livin' in sin is the new thing
yeah Are - you in
I am countin'!

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I'm caught in between
Countin'
1, 2, 3

"As for New York City, it is a place apart. There is not its match in any other country in the world." -Pearl S. Buck

I was walking around Gotham tonight...rather aimlessly...and noticed The Empire State Building was lit up in purple tonight. Breathtaking. Fantastical. Whimsical. Brilliant. Glamour. Random. Up High In The Sky.

Just wanted to share...

"Never worry about bad press: All that matters is if they spell your name right."
-Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson was spotted on the streets of NYC last week in a beautiful...wedding dress. No gossip mongers, she not making a mad dash to the altar with that delicious Yankee (the best accessory EVER) she's been spending time with. She was modeling various dresses for a photoshoot to be featured in Harper's Bazaar magazine. And the only gentleman caller to be seen was her co-star... her adorable son Ryder.

"People always ask me if I'm going to stop modeling because I have started an acting career. I hope to continue to model for years to come." -Tyra Banks

In recent years former Victoria's Secret and top runway model Tyra Banks has been concentrating mostly on her growing career in tv/media. I actually almost forget sometimes that she was one of the modeling industries biggest stars. However I was reminded when I saw these pix from a recent photo shoot in NYC. Tyra proves that she still has it and reminds us of how good she is at it.

-James W. Blake (1894)

Bottega Veneta's "NYCabat" bag is historical as well as fashionable. It marks the first time a high-end designer has ever used the iconic yellow and black taxi cabs of NYC as a muse/inspiration. The hand brushed nappa leather bag is limited to 50 pieces and is only available in NYC.

Tomas Maier, the Creative Director of
Bottega Veneta, says about the NYCabat “the taxi was shorthand for New York: bold, unyielding, exhilarating, a vehicle, quite literally, to so many possibilities. The new Cabat reflects my feeling that, as much as the city and the world have changed, New York remains incredibly vibrant.”

The bag will be available for purchase in November and pre-orders are being accepted:

It's NARS Cosmetics 15th anniversary and for the special occasion Francois Nars will be making an appearance at Saks in NYC on Oct 8th. He will be signing copies of his two wildly successful books "X-Ray" (1999) and "Makeup Your Mind" (2001). I personally LOVED both books, they are basically my bibles. He will also be signing sets of his "NARS Loves New York" which will also be available at counters. The set consists of 4 products Francois Nars himself picked specifically for the women of NYC from product archives and re-named after iconic names from the City of New York. I cannot wait to get mine...

~Fashion Week Spring 2010-Backstage With Francois Nars for Marc Jacobs~

"I`d like to believe that the women who wear my clothes are not dressing for other people, that they`re wearing what they like and what suits them. It`s not a status thing." -Marc Jacobs

It's Fashion Week Spring 2010 in NYC and the energy is crazy!!!! There is absolutely nothing like Fashion Week in NYC. Well....maybe Fashion Week in Paris...nope, scratch that, I stand by my original statement: THERE IS NOTHING LIKE FASHION WEEK IN NYC!!!!

Now, I definitely have a deep passion for fashion but everyone knows my 1st true love is makeup. Francois Nars is tied with MAC for my favorite brand of all time. Imagine if MAC and Nars teamed up to create a line?! Omg...what a cute baby that would be!! Ok, I'm getting delirious...

Back to business... Francois Nars and Marc Jacobs were gracious enough to share the looks that will be seen on the runway for Marc Jacobs Runway Spring 2010. And it's FABULOUS!!!! This might be my favorite among the looks/trends I have seen during this exciting week. Francois himself describes it as "ballerina, cabaret girl, Broadway show meets opera meets Martha Graham with a touch of gothic." Delicious.

The Nars/Jacobs team has released a video showcasing the look and how it is achieved. My fellow makeup whores and fashionistas are bound to enjoy this...

"There's a whole lot of crotch grabbing and moonwalking going on in my house."
–Madonna on her sons' obsession with Michael Jackson during the show-opening tribute to the late pop star.

As some of you may already know, Glamour Whore lives for awards shows. Yup, I live for Red Carpet moments. The 2009 Video Music Awards, which was held last night in NYC at Radio City Music Hall, was one of the best in recent years.

The night started with a phenomenal and touching tribute to the late great icon Michael Jackson. Madonna opened the show with a tear inducing speech and Mz.Janet Jackson did her brother justice with a tribute performance that had Glamour Whore dancing around the room in my jammies!!

Performances by Beyonce, Katy Perry, Pink, Alicia Keys and Jay Z, just to name a few, had the crowd on it's feet most of the night. The amount of glitz and glamour had me on mine...

There was an immense amount of talent in attendance and there was also no shortage of glamour. Have a look at some of my favorite moments...

Pictures. (Videos below)

Pink and Shakira...yes, they are wearing the same dress. Oops!! But it's a great dress so I don't mind seeing it 2x.

A moment of graciousness and kindness. I was going to explain this picture but since everyone on the planet already knows what happened I'm not feeling the need to give Kanye any press. Beyonce showed pure class and I'm thrilled that Taylor got to have her moment...
