I have kept my opinion of Perez off my blog for a very long time but feel his latest antics must be addressed. An open letter to Perez will at least make me feel as if I am not talking behind his huge back...
Dear Perez, Putting all of your mean-spirited antics aside I would like to talk you about professionalism when dealing with other media outlets. When someone like yourself, anyone for that matter, has something they need to promote such as your "book", it's a good idea NOT to bite the hand that offers you POSITIVE EXPOSURE AND PRESS... you idiot. If you are booked on a show at a specific time, showing up more than an hour early and DEMANDING a change in schedule and then proceeding to leave when your silly demands aren't met is not only ignorant it is also the definition of UNPROFESSIONAL. Rapper Snoop and a children's choir were also scheduled and both, who have actual TALENT, acted professionally and were beyond gracious to work with according to the TV station. The same station you infuriated with your ridiculous demands. As a beauty/fashion blogger who is hoping to change the way the world of journalism sees bloggers, I am distressed by the damage you do to the rest of us. I am also distressed by your hair and wardrobe but that is not the subject at hand. Please stop acting like a DIVA, you ARE NOT A DIVA...you are someone who simply got lucky. Plain and simple. Acting the way you do will only shorten your 15 minutes. Which would be fine with me EXCEPT in the process you will also do serious damage to the genre of blogging. So knock it off... Michael Bay, the mastermind director behind blockbuster action flicks such as Armageddon, The Rock, Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen...to name a few...can add another title to his resume: "Commercial Director". Don't get it twisted though...it's not your average commercial. It's a Victoria Secret's commercial and like his films... it's action packed. Mr.Bay just raised the bar on advertising...way high. Super high. I am not even a fan of Victoria Secrets and I'm in awe... It's groundbreaking for advertising...and in my opinion, a sign that an end to the recession maybe in sight. When companies start spending money like this on a commercial/advertising...it's a good sign. And this "mini-movie" has $$$$$ written all over it... Have a look.

If you thought I was excited last week about Mz.Beyonce's new video "Video Phone"...you were right. I was beyond excited. There are certain women in the music industry that just have that "thing", the "it" factor. They know how to make a compelling visually appealing music video and they really know how to put on a show. Bey is definitely one of them. She oozes glamour and sultry sex appeal. She learned this however from the divas that came before her. This week is ultra exciting because not 1, not 2, not even 3...but FOUR showstopping divas are back...and 1 rookie who is well on her way to becoming a outright diva... It was a great week for women in music videos...

I'll start with the "rookie". Miss.Keri Hilson released her video for "I Like" and it's quite apparent that this young woman has a bright future ahead of her. Not only is she talented but she has that "thing" I mentioned above...that natural glamour...a style that's all her own and it's fabulous.

Much like her late brother Michael Jackson, Janet's career was and is groundbreaking, rule breaking and changed women's place in music and video for the better. She ALWAYS looks beyond FIERCE in her videos and on stage. Her dance and vocal skills are INSANE. And it doesn't look like there's gonna be an end to her reign anytime soon. Her picture should appear along the definition in the dictionary. People love to criticize her abilities. Whatever... People love to criticize anyone and anything so I'm just gonna ignore them and shamelessly profess my undying admiration for la Lopez. Yup. I love her!! She reeks of glamour. Ofter reminiscent of old Hollywood...my favorite kind. Her videos contain more fab fashion, hair/makeup and accessories than an entire issue of Vogue.

She sure as hell doesn't disappoint me with her video for "Fresh Out The Oven". Wearing the HOTTEST Louboutins of the season, sporting siren-red lipstick and wearing the latest trends and accessories her video is a fashion magazine in motion and I'm mesmerized by it. After you watch the video look below for some coming attractions of tomorrow night's J Lo performance at the AMAs. From the pix (provided by the fabulous JUST JARED) it looks like she is about to SHUT IT DOWN...I heard something about "fireworks"...damn... She's gonna takeover the show in true La Lopez form...

If you see walking around in public in a dramatic bikini and embellished over-the-knee boots...blame B!! Beyonce has always been right on point with her style. From her hair and makeup to the accessories to the clothes themselves, the girl's got style and glamour in abundance. Recently people have made their "Bodysuit" jokes...yeah, yeah...only the people that can't wear em. And yes, B does sport a few bodysuits in the video but she also rocks some elaborate bikinis, killer accessories, many different hairstyles (I love the braid), fly sunglasses, fierce makeup, numerous weapons, some hip hop fashion circa late 80s, hats, killer boots (including the to die for "Holster" over-the-knee-boots), a "Betti Page" look, and a motorcycle...yes, all in one video. When I saw the stills for Beyonce and Lady Gaga's video collaboration for "Video Phone" my first reaction was.... "I want that gun!!" Mz. B is packin a seriously glam gun and I want it. Some set photos have been released and I think it's safe to say, this a is a very fashionable movie... Very visually pleasing to "Glamour Whores" like myself. And of course the fact that it set in Italy is icing on the cake for this authentic Sicilian girl.
From the photos and the sneak peek video (which I will be sharing with you:) I honestly feel like "Nine" is my now one of my very favorite movies...that I've NEVER seen. It's the best I've never had... The hair, makeup and wardrobe is PHENOMENAL. I am such a sucker for glamour...and this movie oozes glamour. I can't take it...
