Mother Of London is a conceptual couture label headed up by Mildred von Hildegard with a definite "fetish fashion" feel to it...and a dash of "goth". I'm drooling over a few of the pieces...and I'm really feeling the job the glam squad did for the photoshoot...so lovin the hair and makeup.

~Utterly Luminous...The Galaxy Dress~

I need a plane ticket to Chicago ASAP!! London designers Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz creation the "Galaxy Dress" will be the centerpiece exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois.

"The Galaxy Dress" is a literally luminous garment consisting of 24,000 LEDS and 4000 Swarovski crystals. Basically...THE DRESS LIGHTS UP!! Yup!! In delicious colors!! I need to calm down...I think I just had a mini-stroke...gonna take a minute to myself.

Ok, I'm back...

The glorious garment was created by embroidering extra-thin, flexible layers of LED circuits on silk and is illuminated by using many minuscule iPod batteries that are hidden in the dress’s crinoline.


Basically...THE DRESS LIGHTS UP!!!



Now the only makeup that could do this dress justice is...LIME CRIME of course!!! And not because I'm a lil bit obsessed with the Lime Crime line but because only a company whose cosmetics are "So bright it's illegal" could do this glorious gown justice!!

A collection of photos titled "Kate" by makeup artist Saima Altunkaya brings back an almost forgotten makeup principle of concentrating on one single feature while leaving the rest of the face relatively bare. In simpler terms, if you apply a heavily smokey eye, you would then apply a very neutral shade of blush and lipcolor, if any at all. Saima did an EXCELLENT job of following this principle. The lace eye and black lip are tied for the title of my favorite...

"Fatto a Mano" is Italian for "hand crafted". A lovely way to say 'DIY". Italian fashion house Fendi's new Baguette Mezzo Punto (Mezzo Punto is Italian for "half stitch") is a "concept" bag. It's basically a semi-DIYproject. The plain canvas baguette comes in a box with needle, thread and diagrams to custom sew the logo or whatever design you wish. I have mixed feelings about this concept... $995 is alot of money to spend on a bag you have to finish yourself, especially if you make a mistake. People that enjoy and excel at this sort of thing however will most likely think this is a genius idea. I personally will stick to buying bags already fabulous. For those interested in the Baguette Punto Mezzo, the do-it-yourself kit goes on sale Nov 30th at Limited Edition Experiences in Miami and will be available in Fendi boutiques nationwide this spring.

~A Kick To The Head...One Of The Best Editorials I Have EVER Seen~

Photographer Jose Morraja shot a series of nude models wearing only shoes on their heads for a editorial in Neo2 Magazine titled "My Head and Feet Are Swollen". This maybe one of the best spreads I have ever seen. The creativity factor alone is overwhelming. There is something for everybody. MUA's will drool over the fabulous makeup, sneakerheads will obviously enjoy it immensely and my friend @jonlinen will appreciate the nipple shot. Like I said, it's an all around amazing shoot. UK based lipgloss company "2 Love My Lips" has developed an interesting new purpose for it's lipgloss. The lip plumping, breath freshening gloss's packaging has a drug detecting card enclosed. Sounds genius right? That's what I thought at first also. Then I researched the product. Although I still think it's a great idea with the best of intentions, I have some serious misgivings also.

2 facts about the product that concern me:

1) It cannot detect drinks mixed with certain fruit juices, milk, oily liqueurs, or tonic water.

2)Also doesn't the presence of Rohypnol. A frequently used popular "Date Rape" drug.

There are very good aspects also.

1)It does detect GHB and Ketamine

2)It is a constant reminder to women to be alert while enjoying cocktail/beverages among strangers.

3)Publicizing the purpose of the product may make people think twice before attempting to tamper with someone's drink.

My verdict is, you have absolutely nothing to lose by purchasing the product. However do not rely solely on this product to keep you safe.

So go ahead girls, gloss up!! And always be aware of your surroundings!!
